Starting this website is a long-awaited step to share publicly work began in fall 2008. Through a private test site, a small group of friends and local historians has given generous guidance, suggested research resources and people to contact, and pointed out errors in fact and presentation. I hope that sharing this information with a wider audience will continue bringing critical feedback and suggestions. Please contact me through the Contact section. I welcome your comments.

This site will be a work in progress for some time to come. The initial material presented – about 30 pages – is one third of that developed so far. It covers the first three generations of Ravensworth owners and the years 1685 to just short of 1800. More material will be added as it is readied for publication. Also, research and work will continue to move development forward into new areas.
