I am pleased to offer a short biography of Beth Mitchell with a list of her major works. A Beth Mitchell map was the early inspiration for my fascination with Ravensworth. Her works are the basis for much of the information presented in this site.

The Fairfax County History Commission honors her memory with it’s Beth Mitchell Prize, which recognizes “pure research that consolidates and indexes primary source materials into a format that can be used to support further understanding and interpretation of Fairfax County history.”
